Nearly two decades ago, for instance, Harvel was one of the first to develop BlazeMaster^® specialty plastics for fire sprinkler applications; the company’s broad experience with CPVC piping and its proven dedication to quality have been part of the successful introduction of CPVC to the sprinkler industry. In fact, many of the first tests UL performed on fire sprinkler systems employed pipe produced by Harvel. During the years since, Harvel has achieved many more firsts. It was the first in the industry to earn ISO 9001 certification and the first in the U.S. with Canadian standards approval. Placing the industry’s first site on the Internet, Harvel provides engineers with useful, accessible specifications and tech support. A burst of creative product development has also followed.
